3rd Technical Meeting of the Smart Cities Application Development Program
The 3rd technical meeting of the "Development of smart city applications in the Municipalities of Cyprus, Crete and North Aegean" with the acronym "Smart Cities" was held successfully in Mytilene on 17/02/2020.
The Mayor of Mytilene, Efstratios Kytelis, after welcoming the representatives of the Municipalities of Paphos and Chania, emphasized the importance of the Municipality's interaction with the Citizens, and then exchanged gifts
In the context of this meeting, the executives of the Planning Directorate of the Municipality of Mytilene, Zoe Anatolitis, Olga Panselinas, Michalis Stenellis and Pafos Municipal Representatives Diamanto Giannara and Crete, Sevasti Poudhiraos, Polyhronakis, Polathronaki, presenting the progress of the actions taken by each partner and planning the actions to be taken by the end of the action.
The Smart Cities Act is part of the Interreg V-A Greece Cyprus 2014 - 2020 Partnership Program and is co-funded by the European Union (ERDF) and National Resources of Greece and Cyprus. The main beneficiary is the Municipality of Paphos and the co-beneficiaries are the Municipalities of Lesvos and Chania.
Its purpose is to develop applications and actions using ICT to improve the interaction between Municipality and citizens, while creating an attractive environment for visitors, businesses and stakeholders.
